Cher Lloyd "I've Really Opened Up On My New Album"

Cher Lloyd has confirmed to me that she's ready to release her second album "Sorry I'm Late."

The Malvern born singer has enjoyed a successful year in the USA, with her album reaching the Top 10 and hit single 'Want U Back' achieving double platinum sales.

Speaking to me recently, after a confident and brilliant stage performance at the iHeart Radio Festival in Las Vegas, Cher confessed that feels ready to return to the UK and ready to display a more grown-up attitude.

"I wanna go home and start again. I have felt so disappointed in my attitude and my approach to being in the UK. Being over in the US has really opened my eyes to the fact that I miss home so much."

Cher is planning to promote her music in the UK in 2014, leading with the brilliant collaboration with TI ("I Wish"). And in terms of creative input, the 20 year old star also admitted that she's taken a more decisive and creative role in her music making.

"It sounds exactly how I wanted it to sound. I've now gone beyond that stage in my career where I have to say yes to everything. Now it's the part where I say, well I like it but can we change this. And this is where I've become an artist another than a yes man. And this is what the new album is all about, I've really opened up.."

And after a recent on stage performance with Taylor Swift, Cher confessed to me that she'd also love to work with Miley Cyrus. " I would yeah because she's fearless. And there's something I respect and adore about that when someone can be like I wanna do what I feel like doing. I love her. I'm a huge fan."

Have a listen to Cher talking to me about working with Ne-Yo, Taylor Swift and her determination to promote her music back in Britain.
" I cannot wait to get back to the UK. I can't even explain to you how much I want to go back..!"

Welcome back Cher. We missed you.
