5th Story talk ITV's Big Reunion "We want this band to work"

The Big Reunion is back and those lovely people at ITV have delivered us brand new man-band. Too kind.

Yes, 5th Story complete the line-up for 2014 which includes a1, 3T, Eternal, Damage and Girl Thing.

Last month, I went along to a North London dance studio for the series launch and came face to face with Kavana, Gareth Gates, Kenzie, Adam Rickitt and Dane Bowers who are charged with the potential task of taking on the mighty One Direction in 2014.
"Yeah we can take on One Direction, just pass the painkillers..!" teased Mr Rickitt.

Former Another Level star Dane admitted to me that all five were sceptical, when they heard that ITV wanted to form a supergroup. The "Bomb Diggy" singer told me "don't get me wrong, we're far from polished..we still need to work hard as a group. But the music sounds great. Whether people think it's as good as we do, at this stage is yet to be seen. But everyone on this tour realises we have a hard job."

The lads also admitted that the pressure of alternative jobs, parenthood and even Dancing on Ice (in the case of Gareth Gates) has been an added challenge for the collective and their proposed rehearsal time.
"Trying to mix everything has been really difficult, so the gym has been the last things on my mind" said Dane.
Although I think we can all assume that Kenzie's been living in the gym ever since Blazin Squad burnt out into the pop ether..

And the big news is that the band are promising some future material. Dane told me "Yes we're going into studio..we've got some talented people in this group and fingers crossed be a big band.."

But the big question for me; will Adam Rickitt's Breathe Again big water tank make an appearance on the show..? "Yes, Kenzie's in it.." he teased.

Have a listen to my chat with the lads to find out more..
