n fact, when it comes to a list of the biggest names in music and

BBC Wales did just that, offering Kevin the chance to present the

evening show on BBC Radio Wales. It was there that Kevin first met

and interviewed a young new talent called Charlotte Church, a new

band called the Stereophonics and even celebrated Tom Jones' Brit

Award win with an exclusive BBC Wales interview.

On a weekly basis, he interviewed upcoming bands like Coldplay, The

Libertines, Lost Prophets and Muse who all went on to do okay. Oh and

he also spoke to a certain Amy Winehouse, four years before she

became a tabloid favourite. He was rewarded with a Welsh Music

Award for Best Radio show and even made it to the pages of

Company Magazine!

One Random Fact; he was the first Welshman

heard on Radio 2 in the Millennium, as reported

from the 1999 Manic Street Preachers New Years

Eve concert for Ken Bruce!  He also hosted

everything
from the Top 40 chart as well as

producing documentaries for Radio 1 and 2,

reporting from Glastonbury and offering showbiz

gossip on Radio 5 Live
.

Lorraine Kelly)
, CBBC and BBC Wales TV and has offered his opinion

..Presenting the show backstage at the Brits was amazing as

was introducing Paul McCartney to Take That!  Oh and the night uber-

producer Mark Ronson was sitting in his studio in New York chatting to

me for the fifth time in a year and up-pops his Grammy nominations on

his blackberry. I was more excited than he was.
