He's also a regular
showbiz contributor on
Sky News and
frequently appears on "Sunrise
with Eamonn Holmes."

Kevin is constantly on
the red carpet and has
reported backstage at
the Capital Jingle Bell
and Summertime Balls,
the MTV Europe Music
Awards, Brit Awards and
Nickelodeon Kids Choice
awards in LA.
Kevin is also host of
the
UK's Hit Music Chart
Show
which airs worldwide on
various stations
including
Virgin Radio Canada
and Channel 4 Radio
Dubai.
In 2010 Kevin
contributed to ITN
Showbiz News
and appeared on
Living TV's "My
Crazy Year" series in
December 2010. Kevin was
selected to host
Rihanna's
European album launch
for her No.1 album
"Loud," in London for
Universal Music.
Kevin now regularly
interviews Hollywood
stars for Sony
Pictures Home
Entertainment DVD.
He was also asked to
interview worldwide
singing star Susan
Boyle, by Syco
Records, for her
Christmas album 'The
Gift' which was reported
by showbiz websites
across America.
In June 2009, as news of
broke of
Michael Jackson's death,
Kevin was heard
providing commentary
live on Sky News
to an audience of
millions. He was the
first UK journalist to
react to the biggest
showbiz story of the
21st Century. Kevin's
subseqent reporting led
him to present the
tribute documentary
"King of Pop" across the
UK commercial radio
network. The radio
special won a silver at
the New York Radio
Awards in October
2010. He was also one of
a handful of Brits to
both attend and report
on Michael Jackson's
memorial in Los Angeles,
appearing on various TV
and Radio networks
worldwide, including
GMTV, Sky News,
NBC and BBC
World.
Prior to Capital FM,
Kevin hosted the
networked evening shows
"Kevin Hughes in the
Evening" and "Music
Control" which aired
across the UK on 40
radio stations. More
than 1.2 million
listeners across the UK
tuned into Music Control
on the former GCap Media
Network. Broadcasting
from the Bristol sudio,
Kevin helped make the
show one of the biggest
shows on commercial
radio for over four
years and helped break
music from bands like
The Script, Scouting for
Girls and Duffy. He also
presented music specials
across the UK including
"Take That on the
Radio" in 2006, as
the band returned to the
top of the charts and
presented "The Next Big
Thing" on Core.
On his local station,
the former Red Dragon
FM, Kevin presented
the weekly "Green Room"
show and
produced/presented "The
Story of Madonna."
But it was BBC Wales
that gave Kevin his
first career break.
After winning the
Radio 1 Student
Presenter of the Year
award, he was given his
own "Kevin Hughes"
weekday evening show on
BBC Radio Wales.
Both "Kevin Hughes" and
"The Welsh Top 40 Show"
were recognised with
several awards between
1998 and 2004.
He also presented a
range of other radio and
TV shows including
Children In Need,
countless outside
broadcasts with
appearances on BBC 3,
CBBC as well as
Radios 1, 2 and 5
Live.
Kevin has also produced
several music
documentaries and
syndicated music
interviews, hosted
countless award shows
and charity concerts.
